Long time no update eh? ^^;;

Anyway, I just wanted to let you guys know I am still planning on getting Schism 2.0 up and ready. I'm just hell-bent on really improving my skills and really hammering out the story before I start making major progress on it.

If you watch my LJ, you've probably already seen most of these, but I thought I'd share them here as well for those who don't. ^^

I do love getting input back on what I'm doing, but this is one thing I'm absolutely not changing and I'd really appreciate if the negative comments about it would stop. ^^; Thanks!

If you keep up with my personal LJ, you've probably seen me talking about this already. In any case, after some hard thinking, I have come to a pretty huge decision concerning the comic.

1. I will be restarting the entire story from scratch.

It's been almost ten years since I first came up with the concept for it. I've grown so much since that day, and so has the comic to an extent.. but not nearly enough. The story and characters are still quite dear to me, and I want to make sure I really do it justice. To really make sure I accomplish the things I want to with it, and to accomplish them to the best of my ability. Hence, starting it over.

There's a score of reasons for this beyond that as well. In all honesty, I'm unsatisfied with the art style and have even felt quite trapped by it for quite some time. I tried to shake this off and keep on trucking, but my motivation to continue it as is simply isn't cutting it anymore. Schism was my first serious comic attempt. I knew basically nothing about drawing comics, writing for them, etc etc. And at first, that was enough for me. I wasn't so concerned about it being good, it was more about learning and proving to myself that I could. I certainly never expected it to become as popular as it did, and it still amazes me to this day that it's acquired so many absolutely wonderful fans!

I currently have no estimate of when the new version of the comic will be ready to go. Probably not for several months at least. (As an added bonus of redoing the entire thing is that the comic will no be very print-worthy!) The current version will remain available online to read as an archive when the new version is ready to go.

Annnnd... I think that's it for now. I really have no clue how this announcement is going to go over, but this is something I really need to do to keep the comic alive and to finally see it meet or surpass the standards I have for it now. I really do hope that you all will continue to stick with me and read the comic when it's relaunched.

Finished the test shirts from the previous pic I posted last update, but they turned out kinda crap. I bought new inks and I probably will redo the screens for them if I opt to continue those. But I am also working on a couple of alternative designs for shirts as well, so I'll keep everyone updated on those! :D

So I fail. i meant to have this done before the new year so I could start 2008 off with a squeaky clean new chapter, but a guess a few days after is close enough? But yush! Chapter 8 is finally finished, huzzah!

Next update will porbably just be with the cover for chapter 9, but if I get my arse in gear, i'll see about having a page to go along with it.

Also, Schism's been updated! Yeah, late. Trying to readjust to having a job again. One more page, and this chapter is officially over and onto the next! Horray!

Hokay guys, so I finally got my main art site back up (Some not-before seen Schism art can be seen there now) and I'll be working to get the print shop back open again soon, as well as regular shirt orders.

In any case, in preparation for that, I've decided it's high time I cleared out some of these prints that have been sitting around for some time now. Some of these prints will not be offered in the shop as they're older works and I won't be printing them anymore.

All are 8x10 size printed on Glossy photo paper, available for $3 per print + shipping which is lower than my usual price. Some of these I have only one print left of, some I have 4 or 5 left.

Really not as angsty as it sounds...but I started writing and this happened...it wasn't even supposed to be like this TT.TT It's also almost completely unrealated to the Schism timeline...but deffinately would be set after the 'now' in the comic...
